About The Founder
Ciske Uys — Founder, Effective IELTS
Ciske Uys is a Cambridge-certified teacher and certified IELTS coach with over 10 years of experience in ESL teaching and IELTS preparation. Since beginning her teaching career in 2014, she has helped students from around the world prepare for IELTS with clarity, structure, and confidence.
Today, Ciske works primarily as a corporate language consultant for international companies including VW, Audi, HSBC, Cartier, Zara, and Lamborghini. Despite this focus, she continues to receive frequent requests for IELTS support, which led to the creation of Effective IELTS.
The platform was designed to make proven IELTS strategies accessible to every serious learner — wherever they are in the world.
